SciPro are working exclusively with a global rare disease pharmaceutical company who are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join their high-performing team in Portugal. The company is proud to be a patient-centric organisation looking to transform the rare disease space by bringing innovative medicines to those suffering with rare disorders.

You will report directly into the country General Manager and work closely with them and the Medical Director covering the whole of Portugal, driving sales and market share of the company's product.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategic account plans aligned with business goals
  • Identifying new business opportunities and nurturing relationships with KOLs
  • Defending and expanding market share in existing and potential hospitals
  • Representing the company at national/regional meetings, congresses, and webinars
  • Supporting cross-functional collaboration within a lean, agile team

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a Key Account Manager in the hospital setting (rare disease experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of Portuguese Health System
  • Full fluency in Portuguese and English

What You'll Actually Do:Connect the dots between global processes and regional execution, ensuring tools, timelines, and templates are followed and delivered.Own the reporting and coordination of the EMEA Medical Affairs plan, dashboards, budgets, timelines, the works.Act as the single point of contact for regional project delivery, partnering with Medical, Commercial and Clinical stakeholders.Help design and refine how Medical Affairs projects are run, using tools like Smartsheet and Veeva CRM.Support the development and sharing of best practices across the region, with an eye on continuous improvement.What We're Looking For:You've likely worked in high-growth or transformation-focused environments and know how to bring order to complexity. You're confident working across functions, comfortable with ambiguity, and know how to build a process that others can rely on.7+ years of project management experience in pharma or biotech (Medical Affairs exposure preferred).Strong with systems Smartsheet, Veeva, Excel, etc and able to translate data into clear action.Comfortable working cross-functionally with regional and global stakeholders.Collaborative and proactive, with excellent organisational and communication skills.Based in Switzerland or the UK, with flexibility to travel up to 20%.Why This Role?
