Backend Developer | UK

They are now looking to hire an experienced Backend Developer. In this role, you’ll work extensively with C#, .NET, Azure, SQL, APIs, and cloud-based services. You’ll be involved in developing backend services, designing and integrating APIs, working with databases, and building scalable cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure.
Major responsibilities
Solve interesting technical challenges rather than simply maintaining legacy systemsWork alongside a collaborative team that values good engineeringHave the opportunity to grow your skills and influence the technology directionBuild and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, databases and Azure cloud solutionsDevelop automation and DevOps workflows, including CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code and deployment pipelinesDesign, test and optimise reliable software using unit, integration and automated testingCollaborate with technical and product teams to shape requirements, architecture and solutionsMaintain high standards of security, quality, compliance, documentation and data protectionMonitor and improve live systems, troubleshooting issues and supporting controlled production releases while delivering technology with real-world impact
Key Skills
We’re looking for an experienced Backend Developer with strong skills in databases, cloud services and modern software engineering.You’ll be passionate about building secure, scalable and maintainable software, with experience in testing, DevOps and CI/CDExperience building reliable software that supports healthcare or patient-focused applicationsStrong backend development for secure healthcare platforms and servicesDeveloping scalable, resilient cloud solutions for digital health applicationsBuilding secure APIs and integrating systems, services and healthcare dataStrong SQL/database skills with an understanding of data quality, security and performanceUnderstanding of cybersecurity, authentication, data protection and secure software developmentIdeally experience with medical devices, healthcare regulation, traceability, validation or risk managementExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, event-driven systems or regulated healthcare/medtech would be a bonus
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or another STEM related subject, or equivalent experience
